The house of lego!

Now this is not as silly as it looks I assure you! However Christopher did look at me as if I had lost it when I presented him with a shiny new box of Lego for his birthday. So let me explain….

I am a great believer in visualising things, and Chris has been working on plans for our staircase for sometime now so I thought it might help if he was to build a mini version. And you know what, it did. He has now changed things and been able to see potential problems etc clearer than when drawing it on paper. Not so daft after all!

As ever we have the opposite problem from most people, we have plenty of room to put the stairs but because they need to go down a long way they are quite a feat of engineering and because of where they will be they need to have a ‘wow’ factor. We have changed both the location and the design now, Chris has worked out that we should even have a piece of wood long enough to start, just under 5m long. So now it’s just getting the time to do it.

Personally I think it should be made from Lego, that way we can move it as and when we see fit! I have also suggested forgoing the staircase altogether and having a slide/glass elevator or firemans pole. Even better we could have all 3 and that way you can choose your way of descent!! The sun is back and all is warm and well. Stop working in Spain and come back to France and help us!!
