Once the workshop was done we needed to wait as long as possible before putting anything on it so it could set properly. The weather had turned and it had suddenly got very cold and snow was in the air. So we decided to work indoors. The boys tackled the beams, brushing them clean. A filthy job but they look superb already and that was just the first attempt. It also highlighted a spot of Capricorn Beetle which needs treating. I meanwhile started work on the internal walls, removing the plaster and lead paint to reveal the beautiful old stone work beneath.
